MSN® Direct, part of the Smart Personal Objects Technology (SPOT) initiative, is a new, specialized wireless service that discreetly delivers customized and personalized information to people via Smart Watches. MSN Direct offers people an entirely new way to stay connected to the information that matters most to them, including news, weather, sports, stocks and more, as well as personal messages and appointment reminders. Each Smart Watch receives only the information that the owner chooses. The MSN Direct service is available in more than 100 of the largest population centers in the United States and the largest cities in Canada.

Tanner EDA Tools enabled the design and layout of the chip set in Microsoft's Smart Watches with MSN Direct through an innovative and cutting edge process.

Tangent Technologies

 Tangent Technologies, founded in 2002 by Dr. Mark Wadsworth, is an electronic imager design and engineering company that specializes in three key areas: Imager Consultation and Application, Custom Imager Design, and Imager Testing.

Cameras with full-custom CCD imaging chips that were designed using software from Tanner EDA are aboard the NASA Mars exploration rovers Opportunity and Spirit, producing the highest-resolution images ever taken of another planet.

asicNorth provides comprehensive analysis of circuits at all relevant corners. Here, the internal nodes of a differential IO are evaluated for coupled noise at 48 unique operating conditions.
